Active since 2009 in the vibrant heart of Bologna, Ritoccando is the place where creativity, technique, and passion come together every day to create spectacular images with a strong emotional impact. We collaborate with advertising agencies, companies, artists, and photographers to enhance the quality of images, or often to create them from scratch.
Our projects range from simple color control to complex multi-image compositions, in which scenes, subjects, and extra elements are skillfully combined to create new works for print, communication, advertising, and social media.
Giulio Pedaci
Born in Salento, I live and work in Bologna where I graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in the class of Maestro Pozzati. The next step was approaching technology, first as an advertising graphic designer and then as a photographic post-producer, a job I have been doing for almost 30 years, collaborating with major brands and international companies, professional photographers, and communication agencies. I teach Adobe Photoshop at all levels in courses and workshops, to industry professionals and photographers. I have collaborated with magazines and specialized websites as an industry expert. The completion of my professional profile came when I managed to combine technology with art.
Thanks to my deep knowledge and constant use of Photoshop, I create my paintings by entirely painting the subjects on the computer, using one or more photos that I have appropriately manipulated to create the backgrounds. My works are made in ultra-high definition. The music that inspired each work and that whispers in the viewer's ear the story I want to tell can be heard in my videos and at my painting exhibitions thanks to QR code technology.
